HANZA is thrilled to announce that Age Concern Auckland have been successful in their application to the Office for Seniors to pilot Homeshare in New Zealand.
Congratulations Age Concern Auckland and welcome to the Homeshare community!
Age Concern Auckland has a strong track record of working with older people, focusing on social connection and engagement in their local communities. This makes Homeshare a natural fit to the services they offer.
More information on the new initiative is available in Age Concern Auckland’s media release.
The Homeshare pilot is off to a flying start, beginning with a meeting between the Office for Seniors, Age Concern Auckland and HANZA. Training workshops, led by HANZA, have also commenced to ensure those involved are well informed and resourced to establish a successful Homeshare program.
Kevin Lamb, Chief Executive Officer of Age Concern Auckland notes Homeshare fits well with the organisation’s values and their existing work in the community. Kevin says “HANZA has a great track record working with providers … With their insights and understanding of best practice we are well positioned to deliver an accessible, affordable, and high-quality service that enables people to remain living at home as they age.”
This is an exciting opportunity for HANZA, and we look forward to working with Age Concern Auckland and the Office for Seniors. We will keep you updated about this ground-breaking New Zealand initiative as it progresses through our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
